Education:

Dr. Joseph Urban graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Scranton in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2000, he received his Medical Degree with Honors in Immunology, from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1999, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. Dr. Urban completed an Internal Medicine internship at Abington Memorial Hospital in 2001. He continued his medical career at the University of California, San Francisco, completing a residency in diagnostic radiology in 2005, followed by a radiology fellowship in Neuroradiology. In 2006, he was elected to the ASNR clinical practice committee.

Experience:

Dr. Urban joined Desert Radiologists in 2006 upon completion of his fellowship. He has co-authored and assisted in research of several vascular and interventional papers. Dr. Urban also worked as an Assistant Instructor on Virtual Colonoscopy for the USCF Department of Radiology.
